This is an original production cel from the Walt Disney Studios production of the classic animated feature, Bambi (1942). Featuring Bambi followed by a squirrel and a bird, the hand-painted cel was created at the studio and used during the animation process. The characer's cels are actual frames of the animation that were photographed and appear in the film. This particular setup was created by the studio for the Courvoisier Galleries and was prepared by trimming the cels to image and pairing them with a custom watercolor background. The overall measurements of the piece are 10" x 11.5" framed with the mat opening measuring 6" x 7.25" and the image itself measures 2.75" x 2.5".
