A reprinted photostat model sheet from the Disney Studios animated classic "The Sword in the Stone" (1963). Featuring several facial expression and pose suggestions for Merlin, the original model sheet was created at the studio and used during the animation process. This model sheet was likely reprinted in the 1970s or 1980s for comic books, as it bares a "comic strip dept. Walt Disney Productions" stamp on the reverse. Measuring 11"x14" overall, with the character image area measuring 10"x12", the sheet is in very good condition with age-related discoloration and fading, minor rippling to the edges, edge and corner wear, a large vertical crease down the center, and pin holes through the left corner from studio use.
